Water Corn Mill
There has been a water-driven mill at Shugborough since the Middle Ages which is still fully working. Children discover how water power is harnessed using cogs, gears and machinery in order to drive the mill and eventually turn the grain into flour.

Victorian Schoolroom
The Victorian schoolroom is brought to life by a costumed guide who acts out the discipline and routine of a Victorian school day.
Links with History Unit 11: Children in Victorian Britain, and incorporates numeracy and science aspects of the curriculum.

Blitz for the Day
Ration books and gas masks at the ready as sirens sound and the air raid commences...experience the contrasts, characters and unmistakeable flavour of the 1940s at the Shugborough estate.

Grace and Favour
Experience the two sides of a Victorian Christmas at Shugborough. The children are entertained in Victorian splendour as a guest in the Mansion House then celebrate the Festive Season as a poor Farm labourer.
