On this fabulous new tour the famous Lady with The Lamp interacts directly with the children in an experience which focuses on the Victorian timeline and uses our unique collections to cover topics such as transport, health & hygiene and geography. Thomas Anson Find out about Shugborough’s most influential resident. Use historical enquiry and investigative skills to uncover this Georgian character’s love of art, botany, sculpture and landscape. Use actual Shugborough artefacts to find out about Thomas Anson and explore the garden landscape to learn about important flowers and plants of the time. Past Toys, Puppets and Games
This session illustrates Shugborough's vast collection of historic toys, puppets and games of the nineteenth and early twentieth century. This demonstration gives a fascinating insight into the toys and games of the past, enabling the handling of historic artefacts.

Children will become servants in the Mansion House, polishing candlesticks, laying fires and even emptying chamberpots!
