On Your Marks For Little Hearts Charity Fun Run and Fair
Do you want to get fit and support children with half a heart?  Little Hearts Matter is calling out for runners and walkers from across the region to take part in a charity run for children with non-correctable life limiting heart conditions.  There’s a run or walk for everyone at this annual family event.  For the fourth year running, ‘On Your Marks for Little Hearts’, gives people the opportunity to run 5 or 10km around the beautiful grounds of Shugborough.

Children with only half a heart will never be able to run 200m let alone this race so we’re asking people to run or walk it for them.  It’s a fantastic day out for all the family.  There will be cake stalls, second hand toy stalls, tombola, face painting, refreshments and fun races for the children. We hope to see as many people as possible participating and just enjoying the day.  All funds raised will go directly towards supporting children with half a heart”.

Little Hearts Matter is a national charity that offers support and information to children, and their families, born with a non-correctable heart condition. From the time of the devastating diagnosis, through the rollercoaster of treatments into the challenges that are in day to day life the charity is there to help families cope.  The charity eventually works with the young people who survive to enable them to gain the confidence and personal understanding they need to achieve an independent life, whatever their future may hold.
