TERMS AND CONDIITIONS

You are advised to read the following terms and conditions before placing an order. We also advise that you print off and keep safe a copy of these terms and conditions once your order has been accepted. You should note that our online sales supplier (Ice Blue Marketing & Design Ltd) may have additional terms and conditions which will be outlined to you during the sales process.  You should understand that by placing an order, you accept the following terms and conditions:

 

1. General
i. The owner of this web site is Staffordshire County Council, whose address is PO Box 11, County Buildings, Martin Street, Stafford ST16 2LH.
ii. In these terms and conditions Staffordshire County Council is referred to as 'we', 'our' and 'us' and you, the Customer, are referred to as 'you' and 'your'.
iii. Shugborough, a National Trust Property, is an enterprise of Staffordshire County Council.
iv. Your contract for the purchase of tickets for admission to Shugborough or to events at Shugborough made through this web site is with us.
v. You agree that e-mail can be used as a long-distance means of communication. You must check that the details on our confirmatory e-mail to you are correct as soon as possible and you should print out and keep a copy of it.
vi. No contract for the sale of any ticket will subsist between you and us unless and until we accept your order by way of despatch.
vii. You undertake that all details you provide to us for the purpose of ordering or purchasing tickets are correct, that the credit or debit card you are using is your own, and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the tickets ordered. You will be liable to prosecution if you use a credit card or debit card fraudulently to order tickets on this web site.
viii. If there are any changes to the details supplied by you it is your responsibility to inform us as soon as possible.
ix. Your statutory rights are not affected (in particular see below as to your rights to withdraw from the contract) but otherwise all purchases are non-exchangeable, non-refundable and non-transferable.
x. You may cancel your order at any time prior to your order being processed by closing the online sales page/s


 

2. Liability
i. This Liability section applies only to the extent permitted by law. For the avoidance of doubt, we do not exclude or limit any liability for (a) personal injury (including sickness and death) where such injury results from our negligence or wilful default, or that of our employees, agents or subcontractors or (b) our fraudulent misrepresentation.
ii. We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time and to change information, specifications and descriptions of products and services offered by Shugborough or of any event at Shugborough. All purchases of tickets made through this web site will be governed by the terms and conditions on this web site when the order is placed.
iii. We do not represent or warrant that the information accessible via this web site is accurate, complete or current. We endeavour to correct errors and omissions as quickly as practicable after being notified of them.
iv. In the unlikely event that you receive tickets which were not what you ordered or which are damaged or are of a different quantity to that stated on your order form, we shall, at our own option, make good any shortage or non-delivery, or replace any damaged tickets, or refund to you the amount you paid for the tickets in question PROVIDED THAT you notify us of the problem by contacting the Shugborough Sales Office within 10 working days of delivery of the tickets. Or, in the case of non-delivery, within 10 working days from the confirmation e-mail. NOTHING IN THIS CLAUSE AFFECTS YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS.
v. We do not accept liability for any indirect loss, or consequential loss, or damage of any kind incurred by you or any third party arising out of the use of this web site or of any product or service purchased from us.
vi. We will only be liable in respect of any claim for direct loss up to the total price of the tickets purchased.


 

3. Processing of orders
i. Credit and Debit cards are debited before tickets are despatched by us. All prices include VAT (where applicable) and dispatch charges.
ii. Every purchase you make on this web site shall be deemed to be performed in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland . These terms and conditions are subject to the laws and exclusive jurisdiction of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
iii. We aim to arrange the dispatch of tickets within 24 hours of receiving your order.


4. Delivery and Entitlement
i. Any period stated within which you will receive your tickets is approximate. Tickets will be sent to the address given by you in your order and stated in the confirmatory e-mail.
ii. Your entitlement to admission to Shugborough or to an event at Shugborough will arise when we have received payment in full for your order.
iii. Some events held at Shugborough are organised by third parties. Tickets for admission to such events are sold by the third party and not by us. Any contract for the purchase of tickets to third party events will be made between the third party and you.
iv. Please note that the dispatch of tickets across international borders is subject to opening and inspection by customs.


5. Copyright Information
i. All content on this web site is protected by UK and international copyright laws. No part of the site may be copied, reproduced, distributed, redistributed, modified displayed or performed without our prior written consent.


6. Miscellaneous
i. These terms and conditions and your order and our confirmatory e-mail to you ('the contract') contain the entire agreement relating to your purchase of tickets. They supersede any and all other conditions, understandings, commitments, agreements or representations (except fraudulent misrepresentations), whether oral or in writing, relating to your purchase.
ii. If any of these terms and conditions are held to be invalid or unenforceable, those terms and conditions will be struck out and the other terms and conditions remain.
